Studio Etiquette

General Studio Policy

Yoga Feet

Hot Yoga House has a no shoes policy. Please take off your shoes and leave them in the area provided.

Arrival & Check-in

Doors open 30 minutes before class starts. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early and sign in at reception before entering the hot room or changing rooms.

No late entry is permitted once class has started. Both the teacher and receptionist reserve the right to refuse entry to latecomers to maintain a peaceful environment.

Cancellations

If you cannot make your class, please cancel at least 4 hours before the class start time. Late cancellations (less than 4 hours' notice) and no-shows will result in your pass being allocated to that class and cannot be reused. For Unlimited Members, a £5 fee may apply. For credit packages, a loss of credit may apply.

Health & Injuries

Before class, please make your teacher or reception staff aware of any health changes or injuries so they can take extra care of you during class.

Hygiene

If you are wearing strong perfume or have had a sweaty day, please take a shower before class. No shaving or trimming hair in the showers or sink areas. Please be efficient when using the showers, especially during busy periods.

Personal Items

Please use lockers provided for your valuables. All possessions are left at the owner's risk. Avoid using aerosols and strong perfumes in the studio.

Respect

Be respectful of your fellow yogis and all Hot Yoga House staff. We reserve the right to take necessary action if someone's behaviour is considered anti-social, rude or disrespectful. If you have any queries or concerns, please ask to speak to a manager.

Inside the Hot Room

Entry & Timing

Please allow 15 minutes after the previous class has ended before entering the hot room, even if it's just to place your mat down. Respect the silence of the hot room before and after class. Be mindful of noise in waiting areas outside.

What to Bring

  • Mat
  • Towel
  • Water

Place a towel on your mat. Towels can be rented from reception if you don't bring your own. If you're a heavy sweater, please bring two towels.

What Not to Bring

No bags, shoes, food, chewing gum, mobile phones, or glass bottles allowed in the hot room.

Mat Placement

Do not move mats already placed down. Please align the top of your mat with the line on the floor.

Front Row Mindfulness

Be mindful if you choose to practise in the front row—lead by example as fellow yogis may be using you for guidance.

Health & Safety

No socks allowed in the hot room for health and safety reasons. If you have a foot condition, please speak to reception before class.

If you feel unwell, lightheaded or nauseous during class, listen to your body and take a moment to rest by sitting or laying on your mat. If you need to leave the room, let your teacher know and do so between postures.

Bathroom Breaks

Use the bathroom before class. Avoid disrupting the class with unnecessary breaks.

What to Wear

Wear appropriate attire—close-fitting, breathable and lightweight clothing is best. Avoid white or baggy clothing that becomes uncomfortable or revealing when wet.

During Class

Listen to your teacher and be open to change and guidance. Try to stay in the hot room—this is key to helping your body acclimatise to the heat.
